Do I need to be FSA regulated?

As long as you are using creative approved by the merchant and you just place the banner on your website, you do not need to be regulated by the FSA.  It would be good practice to put a disclaimer in the footer of your website though, such as below:

"Please note that articles and advertisments on XXXX do not constitute regulated financial advice, which recommends a course of action based upon the specifics of your personal circumstances. The articles and advertisements are intended to provide general personal financial information. We urge you to consult an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA) before making any important decisions about your finances. Call 0800 085 3250 for details of IFAs in your local area or click here to search online."

If you are recommending one financial product over another then there is the strong possibility you need to be FSA regulated.  To find out more information, please contact the FSA by clicking here.
