How do I change the commission on my programme?
Posted by Chloe Prockter on 19 February 2018 11:47 AM
Within your merchant interface, go to Programme Manager and select which programme you would like to make changes in.

To change your base commission rate, go to Set Base Rate and Schedule Commission Rate on the right hand side of the page.

If your programme is based on generating Sales (CPA), enter the new commission rate under the Sales % section if a percentage, or under Sales £ if a fixed value commission. Please make sure you only include numerical figures and not % / £ signs. If you are working with Leads (CPL), enter the commission rates under Leads % / Leads £ in the same way.

If your programme is working on second levels, you will need to make sure that under the Sales/Leads £ section the value is (£)0.01, as second levels are to initially track as a penny. The full commission amount (to be applied once the transaction has been approved) needs to be entered under 2nd Level Sales/Leads %/£.

Enter your initials and click Apply.

The base rate for this programme has now been changed.

If you wish to schedule the base rate to change in the future, you can find this further down the page. Make sure you include a From Date and To Date, and enter the details in the same way as above.

*After any changes to the base commission rate have been made, please change your programme Offer Text to show the correct commission rate. Please also inform your publishers that the rate has changed by sending a direct Message or by sending out a Newsletter.*

If you wish to set up specific Payout Codes for particular products, within your Programme go to Setup Payout Codes.

Enter the Product Code/s for the product/s you wish to change the commission for. If you are entering multiple products for this commission rate, be sure to separate the codes with commas. Please note that this product code will need to be added within the tracking code implemented in your site. Please visit Tracking Code within your interface, or contact support for further guidance on this. Add a description for the product code for reference, and then add the commission amount for this product in either Commission Amount (£) or Commission Percentage (£). Please do not include symbols within this field.

If your programme is working on second levels, you will need to make sure that within the Commission Amount field the value is (£)0.01, as second levels are to initially track as a penny. The full commission amount (to be applied once the transaction has been approved) needs to be entered under 2nd Level Sales Amount/Percentage.

Enter your initials and click Add.

The payout code for this product/s has now been added.

If you wish to schedule a payout code, you can find this further down the page. Make sure you include a From Date and To Date, and enter the details in the same way as above.

Payment tiers are a good incentive for publishers to push your programme/products. For a payment tier to be active a certain level of transactions must be made through a particular publisher. Publishers may choose to push a campaign harder if they have the prospect of earning more commission from transactions.

To set up Payment Tiers, within your Programme go to Setup Payment Tiers.

Select a target for this tier:
  • Number of Leads per month - If you want to pay a higher commission once a specified number of leads have been made in a month (E.G 50 leads)
  • Number of Sales per month - If you want to pay a higher commission once a specified number of sales have been made in a month (E.G 50 sales)
  • Value of Sales per month (£) - If you want to pay a higher commission once a specified value of sales has been met in a month (E.G £500)
  • Value of the transaction (£) - If you want to pay a higher commission once a specified transaction value has been met (E.G £50)
Add the relevant number/value in the next box For example, if you want to pay higher commission after 50 sales have been made in a month, add "50".

Enter the relevant payment details for this tier. For example, if you want to pay a rate of 10% after 50 sales have been made in a month, add "10" to the Sale Percentage box. If your commission is a fixed value, e.g. £10, add this in Sale Payment £ instead. Please do not include symbols within this field.

If your programme is working on second levels, you will need to make sure that within the Sale Payment £ field the value is (£)0.01, as second levels are to initially track as a penny. The full commission amount (to be applied once the transaction has been approved) needs to be entered in the 2nd Level Sale Payment/Percentage field.

Enter your initials and click Add.

This payment tier has now been set up.

If you wish to schedule a commission tier, you can find this further down the page. Make sure you include a From Date and To Date, and enter the details in the same way as above.
